Get Married at these Stunning Venues on Your Way To or From Rise Festival This October

I’m not going to try to tell you who you should put on your 2025 must-see fall concerts list, because it’s a fact that there are more musical tastes than there are stars in the sky. But, uhm, you guys, John Mayer is the Sunday night headliner at Rise Festival outside of Las Vegas on October 5th. I’m just sayin’.

If you’re even a little bit of a “Dead Head” you might have noticed Mayer and the band Dead & Company have been celebrating the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary this summer with some pretty spectacular appearances. The iconic jam band did 18 shows at the Sphere in Las Vegas, and three high-flying shows in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. According to one fan, “The band is hot and the vibe is right.”

But if you’ve missed the latest Mayer-led edition of the group, you can still catch Mayer’s hot guitar licks this fall in Vegas as part of an emotional festival experience that takes place on the dry lake bed south of Las Vegas.

If you’re wanting to double up your festival weekend with your Las Vegas destination wedding, there are a number of great venues that will set your emotions soaring, just like the lanterns you’ll be releasing at RISE. Check out some of our favorites below.

Eldorado Canyon

Canyons are often described as natural cathedrals, in part because of their towering walls and the feeling of grandeur. This canyon evokes some of the same emotions — especially if you worship Americana, legends of the old west or the natural beauty of the American Southwest.

Eldorado Canyon is one of our favorite emotive and evocative alternative chapel wedding venues. If you’re on a spiritual journey, or just soaking up the music at Rise Festival, this spot might make a great wedding venue for you. Chic, vintage, stylish and wild, it’s a blend of stunning nature and erratic man-made structures. Plus, the most beautiful cholla cactus field you’ve ever seen. The sight of the sun setting against these cacti is unreal. It makes for the perfect wedding photo op. If you’re attending RISE, you might want to save some space in your camera roll for the lovely photos you’ll capture on your Eldorado Canyon wedding day.

Neon Museum

Another form of large public art that has been part of the Las Vegas story for decades is the neon that lights up the resort corridor. See it on display as you Say “I do” surrounded by iconic tubular signs that blazed up the Strip in years gone by and enjoy an offbeat ceremony site that is truly unique.

For the couple that appreciates the classic Vegas vibe and wants a piece of historic Vegas added to their special day, The Neon Museum will provide just that. Add your love story to this lovely museum’s history just like you can add your love to story to your lantern at the fest!

7 Magic Mountains

An enchanting venue complete with stone towers, colorful artistry and the opportunity for contemplation and reflection. No, it’s not a gothic cathedral with flying buttresses, stained glass windows and rows of church pews…it’s large-scale public art in the middle of nowhere! If you don’t get enough of the artistic vibes at the Rise Festival, there’s more to be had in the shadow of these day-glow rock pylons.

Internationally renowned Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone’s 7 Magic Mountains dominates the desert landscape 10 miles South of town and gives couples looking for an anti-bride wedding venue a one-of-a-kind ceremony experience, resulting in beautiful and truly distinctive wedding photos.

One More for the Road

Electric Sugar Elopement’s sister company, Cactus Collective Weddings has a dry lakebed of their own that makes for an incredible micro wedding venue. From the Sloan dry lake bed, the Eldorado Dry Lake Bed is over the mountain range to the east of where the festival is taking place, but no less spectacular.

The simplicity and beauty of nature at the Dry Lake Bed in Boulder City, Nevada offers couples a sunrise or sunset wedding venue unlike any other. In the evening, when the sun dips low and the light starts to fade, the attraction of this starkly empty landscape reveals itself. Once a vast lake covering more than 20-square miles, this standout desert feature is now the perfect blank slate for your special day.

Our leading CCW guitar player isn’t touring with the Dead, but he does play a lovely version of “Here Comes the Sun”, which will bring happy tears to your eyes if played during a sunrise wedding ceremony at the Dry Lake Bed. My heart is melting just thinking about it!

Many couples come to Las Vegas for a concert, hockey game, convention, conference, or rodeo and decide the trip would also make for a great time to get married. If you’ll be in town for the Rise Festival, or any of the other fantastic events that draw visitors to our little corner of the universe, let us help you coordinate your luxury elopement or stress-free micro wedding.

All of our packages come with your choice of venue, killer photos, florals for the couple and a modern officiant. Get in touch today!
