Spooktacular Ideas for How to Have a Halloween Themed Wedding in Las Vegas

It seems like the Halloweeen decorations and trick-or-treat candy appear in stores earlier and earlier every year, doesn’t it?

On July 5th, I walked into my local Albertsons, and there it was, right up front. Screaming at me like a banshee: “Summer is over. Get your jack-o’-lantern carving kits and your goblin face paint, NOW!”

Personally, I tend to save costume planning for the very last minute. And I know the stores will still have candy for me to pick up on the day before beggars’ night.

I, for one, am not rushing out to fill my shopping cart with Halloween goods while still celebrating 4th of July weekend, or even Labor Day.

But, I get it. Some people really really really love Halloween. And I know that some things, like weddings and elopements, need to be planned in advance.

If you’re really into fright night, and want to have a Halloween-style wedding in Las Vegas, this blog is for you!

I’m offering up ways to make your Halloween themed wedding something to really howl at the moon about.

Venues

Nelson Ghost Town in Eldorado Canyon

Wild west ghost towns litter the American West, and Las Vegas happens to be a short drive from one of the most legendary.

Nelson is infamous for being one of the most lawless places around with its remoteness, leading to some pretty bloody frontier justice. The town boomed with the gold rush and busted just as quickly.

Visiting this portion of Southern Nevada is like stepping back in time. Historic structures, mining relics and scattered pieces of Americana make for great wedding day photo ops no matter which old-timey or spooky theme you choose for your Halloween wedding.

Chic, vintage, stylish and wild, it’s a blend of stunning nature and erratic man-made structures — and there’s the most beautiful cholla cactus field we’ve ever seen. The sight of the sun setting against these cacti is unreal.

  • Located just 45 minutes from Las Vegas.
  • Three ceremony areas to choose from: Cholla Cactus Field, Chapel or Big Barn.

MidCentury Manor

If you’re rebelling against a traditional wedding and are on the lookout for the old school classic vibe prescribed by Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, this spot might be for you. The MidCentury Manor has been kitted out to meet modern party needs, but still holds onto its heritage.

Originally built for Caesars Palace casino boss Jay Sarno, no windows face the streets so as to keep any would-be mob hit men from having a clear shot. It’s those kinds of spooky details and authentic back story that make this a great Las Vegas Halloween wedding venue.

The Midcentury Manor celebrates this history allowing you to embrace some serious Vegas cocktail culture vibes on your wedding day. We can see a MadMen costume party going over well here, or a swinging casino themed party.

And the golf course views from the pool deck outback lend themselves to a costumed pool party or a golf themed halloween wedding. Give us a ring-a-ding-ding and we’ll help you plan the perfect Halloween all-inclusive micro wedding or luxury elopement at this eccentric venue.

  • Authentic architectural design elements.
  • Vibrant outdoor ceremony site surrounded by rose bushes.
  • Frank, Dino and Sammy would be proud.

Neon Museum

If you’re looking to celebrate your Halloween wedding amongst some real Vegas history, the Neon Museum is for you. Say “I do” surrounded by iconic neon signs that blazed up the Strip in years gone by and enjoy an offbeat ceremony site that is truly unique and full of playful photo opportunities.

Many of the rich and wonderful examples of the totally-tubular neon signs that once beckoned visitors to the establishments of Glitter Gulch are still around for our enjoyment.

If you’re a fan of the movie “Mars Attacks” (mostly shot in Las Vegas), you and your guests could dress up as the large-brained aliens and the invasion-fighting heroes of the film channeling director Tim Burton’s pre-pandemic Lost Vegas art installation that took place at the Neon Museum.

  • Located in Downtown Las Vegas, close to trendy restaurants and bars for your reception needs.
  • Ceremonies and photoshoots are best held in the private North Gallery, aka the Sweetheart section.
  • Private area closed to the public to ensure an intimate, uninterrupted true elopement experience.

Punk Rock Museum

This newer Las Vegas attraction celebrates the history and legacy of the head-banging and crowd surfing music genre that is anything but traditional.

Punk rockers are known for their eccentric ways of dressing and I feel like punk rock is an easy costume to pull off at Halloween. Stage dive into your Halloween wedding in Las Vegas at the Punk Rock Museum for a rowdy celebration.

The chapel located at the Punk Rock Museum lets you add your love story to the narrative, culture and absurdity of rock ‘n’ roll’s bastard step-child.

There are lots of fun ways to enjoy a visit to the museum. There’s a tattoo parlor, a bar (two warm beers, please), a punk rock merch shop and a room where you can actually play some of the instruments donated by legendary musicians. How’s that for a great Halloween wedding costume accessory?!

  • Ample opportunities to explore the artifacts on display while visiting for your wedding.
  • Photography options at the most punk rock locations in the nearby Arts District.
  • Enough authentic punk rock vibes to make you want to go stage diving.

Downtown Las Vegas Alley

The street scenes in Downtown, the Arts District and East Fremont make for a perfect Halloween wedding, because they’re authentically gritty and a little sketchy, just like every good haunted house.

Plus, you’ll be just steps away from all the partiers and costumed revelers coming and going to establishments in the neighborhood to celebrate Halloween at their favorite haunt.

Our team knows the hidden away secret spots guaranteed to give your micro wedding or Halloween elopement instant street cred and mega urban vibes. Cracked pavement, rat’s nest telephone wire filled skies, broken windows…what’s not to love?

  • Get hitched in the photogenic, gritty urban environment.
  • Unconventional choice perfect for unconventional people.
  • Lots of bars and restaurants in the vicinity for pre- or post-ceremony outings.
